i know i've been slacking a bit on posting, but days have been filled with lots of coffee, exploring, and paper writing. this past weekend some friends came up for a lovely visit. didn't do a whole lot, but it was just nice to have them around!
tomorrow i'm heading to another cooperative hopefully for a few nights. not exactly sure of the details, but i'm pretty excited! this cooperative is mixed: men and women and run by a different organization. so afterwards i'll be able to compare how women have created a space for themselves in both types of cooperatives. i have high hopes after reading about the organization, but we'll see if the theory is put into practice or not!

ps a month as of yesterday until i step foot on us soil. bitersweet feelings, of course.
and i got a summer job on campus working to organize the first-year student's volunteer day during orientation. : )
