where the streets have no name

yeah i know i've been slacking. but i'm slowly catching up on el salvador (out of order, of course). heading to the coast on tuesday! :) refreshing. had interviews with our directors for our isp projects today. i've narrowed it down to working with cooperatives in the north who are involved in the fair trade movement. but i'm still struggling with narrowing the focus. checking out esteli, "the diamond of the segovias" to see if it would be a good place to stay. they have a great nature reserve, waterfall, and mountains nearby. sounds good to me!

since we only had the interviews today, we had a pretty open day. a few of us went to a hotel nearby to cool off and go for a dip in the pool (free of charge, might i add). and man, was it glorious.

went to celebrate st. patty's day at an irish pub in the city. it was pretty dead, except for some other gringos with the same idea. it was a nice night out, and a relaxing place to hang out. as always, good conversation was had.

booked a place for semana santa in ometepe with about eight others : )

right now i'm procrastinating.. paper due on monday. it's a comparative essay and i've chosen to write about community activism within el salvador and nicaragua. here i go!

I think procrastinating runs in the family :-) If you get involved with learning about Fair Trade, I'll drive you back to the coffee place in Middletown and you can have a go with that guy there.
